June 8th Disneyland Vacation Day 6: Disneyland Take 2!
This was our last vacation day and our feet were tired from all of the walking so we opted to pay to ride the shuttle. Luckily someone had given their unexpired adult tickets to the front desk and they gave them to us. We ended up only having to get tickets for the kids. It was such good fortune.
We started our with yummy breakfast at the Plaza Inn with Minnie and her friends. We had such a delicious breakfast and saw so many fun characters.
My favorite character experience of my life happened at breakfast. We all thought it would be great fun to tick tock like a clock when we saw Captain Hook. He began to look all around for the crocodile and when Pooh Bear saw what we were up to he snuck up behind Captain Hook and pretended like his arms were big crocodile jaws. Why do I love Disney so much? Because of these magical and purely spontaneous moments. <3
After breakfast we went on the explorer canoes. We had a lot of fun but I did end up getting a bit of nasty lake water in my mouth after Aiden accidentally splashed with his paddle. I didn’t find out until the next day just how unfortunate that would turn out to be. Our canoe guide was humorous and made the journey a lot of fun.
We rode the train again and had several moments of down time through out the day. When you do three days of Disney you get to a point where you think, “Ok, I know there is more I could see and do but I have seen quite a lot and I am too tired to bother.”
We rode Jungle Cruise and Pirates of the Carribean.
We went over to Toon Town where I did a bit of shopping with Isaac while Brandon took the older two to maybe ride on Gadget’s Go Coaster. They decided the line was too long but they did get this photo op before we met back up with each other.
Mid afternoon I was exhausted and so we were all going to go back to the hotel. I ended up having Brandon go back to the park where he finally got to enjoy a Dole Whip an then attempted to find us a nice place to watch the fireworks. After a nap we joined Brandon at the park again and found out that the place he had secured was going to be cleared out before the fireworks. We decided to just ditch the fireworks, eat some dinner, and ride another couple of rides.
Dinner was at Pizza Planet and the kids thought it would be great fun to get pictures with it. 😉
After dinner we rode Buzz Lightyear’s Astro Blasters and then rode the train to the front of the park. We took the obligatory photo at the front of the park and then headed to the shuttle and back to the hotel. It was a fun vacation and I wish that it hadn’t gone by so quickly.
